only the front face is painted if you select that option
No hanging equipment is suppied with this item. These can be hung with command strips or similar (not supplied). I would recommend Self adhesive tape (double sided tape) from any local store, small finishing nails, 3M command strips, Gorilla Mounting Tape or even simple super glue
